Did you miss me? Did you even notice it’s been almost a month since my last post? I blame that on my December Challenge – in one of my posts I dared myself with you as my witness to write ten posts last month.

Did you keep score? I bet nobody did but me. But yes, I actually did manage to make ten posts – and learned a few lessons along the way. For example, if there’s a deadline – there’s no such thing as a writer’s block. I sat and thought about topics when words didn’t seem to flow smoothly.

In fact, as I discovered one topic after another I came up with more topics. However, the end of the year and the start of the new year conspired to dump more work for me on my day job so I haven’t written since the last day of the year.

Today, let me give you a quick health tip on what to drink in the morning. This is based on my experience, but it may not work for you (especially if you had not discussed it with your doctor first, so go ahead and call you doctor while I wait).

Water

This is the universally popular drink. I normally drink cool water but some people swear that warm or hot water is much better. A lady working in the hospital cafeteria once told me that for every meal I should drink hot water to melt off the fat. I am not sure if it actually works but it sounds logical.

Water with Apple Cider Vinegar

I’ve tried this also and it helps alkalize your body and reduce some acidity. It also helps with digestion for the upcoming meals. I take two tablespoons of vinegar with a small glass of water.

Water with Lemon

About the same result as the above. I prefer mine warm and many lemon squeezed to make it strong.

Water with Lemon and Honey

My wife heavily endorses this but I still have to have the courage to drink it one day. However, when I have flu-like symptoms or I have a cough, I drink this concoction in the morning and at night.

Ideally, any of the above should be drank at least 30 minutes to one hour prior to breakfast. However, I don’t want to wake up too early in the morning, so I drink any of the above except the last one most days, and in about 15 minutes I start my breakfast.

It helps with digestion and overall feeling of contentment throughout the day.
